TFT’s Calendar Girls announce sum raised for cancer charities

TDonations made to both Blood Cancer UK and Rowans Hospice

Last September, Titchfield Festival Theatre performed the stage version of the successful movie Calendar Girls. The show performed to packed audiences – and has benefited two cancer charities as a result of donations made by TFT patrons.

A total of £2,279 was raised during the show’s run, from both cash donations and the sale of calendars. The funds were split equally between Blood Cancer UK – who the original calendar girls raised money for – and the Rowans Hospice, which is a local charity.

Franchesca Nicholson, who directed Calendar Girls, said:

“I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone. From the amazing cast and crew to the wonderful volunteers who supported with the box office, the bar and selling calendars. As well as those who helped advertise and promote the show and finally to our wonderful patrons who came to see the show and purchased a calendar. We really appreciate your support and thank you all for making this such a success and raising so much money!”
