TFT Youth Theatre Programme

TFT Youth Theatre Programme has expanded.

TFT's Youth Program is open to all young people aged 2 to 19. We run specialised theatre training to develop young peoples confidence and performance skills in acting, singing, dancing and stagecraft.

Theatre Experiences for Schools

Inspire students aged 5 -18 through Theatre Visits, engaging Workshops (at TFT or Your School) and exciting projects to help support your curriculum.

All our theatre experiences develop skills in communication, team work and Imagination; while exploring the wonder of theatre making and storytelling.

Technical Courses

We have 4 full time trained technicians in theatre sound and light. They run regular courses for those members wishing to know more about this area of stagecraft. Once trained the members then join our cadre of technicians authorised to run all technical aspects of shows.

Directors Course

Directors Courses are held twice yearly and are open to all who wish to Direct plays in future seasons ( only Directors who have completed this course are allowed to Direct at TFT). The course lasts a period of 4 days over two weekends with extensive training into how to direct a show here at TFT.

Acting Class

Acting classes for beginners and intermediate actors are held weekly  at our St Margaret's Lane venue.  Led by Professional Drama Facilitators and Directors, the course covers all aspects of acting including voice, movement and improvisation.

All abilities welcome. Lessons are just £4 per hour.
