Titchfield Festival Youth Theatre is open to all young people aged 2 to 19. We run specialised theatre training to develop young peoples confidence and performance skills in acting, singing, dancing and stagecraft.

 

Our weekly sessions run on a term-time basis of 12 weeks for just £4 per hour. These weekly sessions build confidence, develop creativity and build both personal and social skills regardless of their background and ability.

We place a great emphasis on teamwork-based skills that develop confidence and encourage self-expression. Our Youth Theatre members have the opportunity to perform in a range of theatrical and musical productions each year, within Titchfield Festival Theatre, led by experienced directors and theatre practitioners. 


What group should my child book onto?

Our TFYT Classes are structured as follows:


THEATRE TOTS - Pre- School ages 2-4 years

INFANTS - Reception to Year 2 ages 4-7 years

JUNIORS - Year 3 -6 ages 7-11 years

SENIORS - Year 7-9 ages 11 -14 years

Titchfield Youth Associates - Year 10-13 ages 14 - 19 years.


What theatre training does TFYT offer?

We specialise in:

  • Musical Theatre training that encompasses Singing, Dancing and Acting in one
  • Drama and Acting Training: following a Lamda Syllabus
  • 1:1 Private lessons in Acting or Singing
  • LAMDA Examinations


How much do your lessons cost?

All our group classes are priced at just £5 per hour. All our lessons are scheduled within a 12 week term, which follows the term time table within schools. Through the Summer Holiday we also host holiday clubs. All lessons are booked in advance per term on our website www.tfyt.co.uk


Do your students perform in shows?

Yes, all our students have a chance to take part in the TFYT productions throughout the year. They will also have opportunities to audition and perform for TFT Main house productions, as well as part of local events.

BOOK CLASSES TO TFYT

Titchfield Youth Theatre

We meet weekly on Saturday mornings at The Titchfield Festival Theatre and provide excellent tuition in all areas of Stagecraft and Drama, which is delivered by very experienced tutors.


We are a Youth Theatre which concentrates on Drama and Acting.


TYT is for young people aged 8 to 16 years old who wish to develop their drama skills in a fun creative environment, working together as an ensemble which teaches them commitment and gives them confidence in themselves to create and connect with others.


Each session involves drama games, improvisation, theatre skills and script work leading up to a final performance. There is a great emphasis on fun and the development of their acting skills, with the children enjoying the weekly sessions showing their enthusiasm throughout. They thoroughly enjoy performing and when they do they are very disciplined in their approach and an absolute credit to themselves.


We aim to do three productions in the school year usually one in Spring (March/April), one in the Summer (July) and one in the Autumn (Oct/Nov), and on occasion some smaller performances, which can be workshop based, throughout the year to showcase what they have been learning. All the children are involved in these.


These productions give our youngsters the opportunity to play a wide range of parts in a supportive and creative environment and these take place at the TFT venues which are the Acorn Studio Theatre, the main Oak Theatre and the historical Great Barn.

Drama sessions for ages 5 -7 years every Monday 5:45-6:45pm.
